This Week
Sewing Night is Tuesday Night at 6:00pm
Friday Night Football v. University, we need parental help.
Saturday is Band Day at the ROSE BOWL!!! Call time is 6:30am, yay mornings! Return around 7pm. We need drivers!
Dot books need to be complete with PG, Opener, FD, and the Closer. You need to have the figure, counts, where it is in the music, choreography (if any), horns up or down, etc. All info please!

Game This Week
This week’s game is an away game at John Muir High School in Pasadena at 7pm. However, due to the Jewish Holiday on Friday, THIS WEEK’S GAME IS ON THURSDAY! Call time will be 4:30 after school. There is a mandatory study hall from 3:15-4:15 so that students can get their homework completed. Pep uniform.

Great Job This Week!
The first week of band camp is officially over! A lot of hard work put in by all, I’m very proud of what you’re doing. Don’t forget: proper practice attire and shoes, 3 placeholders (old CDs, tupperware lid, poker chips, etc), forms & fees including the band parent meeting tear-off, spiral bound index cards, and memorize Warm-Ups 1-5 (elminate #4), practice your instrument using your tools of long tones and MTOPs, and take a break to have fun! I encourage you to take a jog each day this weekend so that you are ready for next week’s physical activity. Great job, I am so very grateful to have all of you in band this year! Go Gondos!

Band Camp is Coming!!!
Band Camp will be beginning in 2 weeks! Yay! Please have your forms, fees, and materials ready. You need to have your music memorized. Especially concentrate on Opener and Foggy Day as we will be learning those first. Warm-ups should also be memorized because we will be adding some marching to it. If you have questions, bug me! VHSBL, call the people in your sections and make sure that everyone is ready for band camp. Read through the Band Camp FAQ’s if you aren’t sure about something.
